Financial Statement Analysis Webinars

We started running these webinars back in late 2023 when we realised something: too many business owners were making decisions based on incomplete financial pictures.

These aren't your typical sit-and-listen sessions. You bring your questions, we work through real scenarios together. Sometimes chaotic, always practical.

Upcoming Sessions (August-November 2025)

Each webinar runs for 90 minutes with the last 30 minutes reserved for your specific questions. We cap attendance at 35 participants because once you go beyond that, the interactive element falls apart.

Reading Between the Lines: Cash Flow Statements

Cash flow statements confuse people more than they should. We'll break down why profit doesn't equal cash and what those operating, investing, and financing sections actually reveal about business health.

Bring a recent cash flow statement if you can. We'll walk through interpretation methods that work in real situations.

Balance Sheet Red Flags and What They Mean

Some numbers on a balance sheet tell obvious stories. Others hide problems until it's too late. This session focuses on spotting the warning signs before they become crises.

We'll cover working capital issues, debt structure concerns, and asset valuation questions that come up when you're trying to understand financial position.

What Actually Happens During These Sessions

Look, we've all sat through webinars that were just glorified sales pitches or tedious lectures. That's not what we're doing here.

You get access to the session materials 48 hours before we start. Then during the live session, we spend about an hour working through the core concepts with actual financial statements from Australian businesses (anonymised, of course).

The final half-hour is where things get interesting. That's when participants share their screen and we analyse their specific situations together. Sometimes it gets messy. Sometimes we disagree on interpretation. That's the point.

  • Live review of participant financial statements
  • Ratio analysis that goes beyond textbook formulas
  • Industry-specific benchmarking discussions
  • Questions about your actual business scenarios
  • Recording access for 60 days after session

Sessions typically run over by 10-15 minutes because people have follow-up questions. We've never managed to stick exactly to the 90-minute mark, and honestly, that's fine.
